The New Force unveils vice-presidential candidate for the up-coming December 7 elections.
The New Force, Ghana’s rising political movement, has made a bold step by selecting Dr. Maryam Esaka Kriese as its vice-presidential candidate for the upcoming election. Dr. Kriese, a financial expert with over two decades of experience in the sector, brings a wealth of expertise that could redefine Ghana’s economic landscape. Her career includes time as a senior manager at the Securities and Exchange Commission and a lecturer at the University of Ghana.
The announcement was made in Kumasi by Nana Kwame Bediako, The New Force’s presidential candidate. “Every time we unveil a mask, we bring a new opportunity, a new face, a new hope, a new force and a new strength. Dr. Maryam Esaka is the right person to help propel the vision of The New Force and give the people of Ghana a new hope,” Bediako remarked as he introduced his running mate.
The upcoming election, Bediako explained, represents more than a contest for leadership; it’s about Ghana’s future. “It is about choosing between the old ways of doing things, which have not delivered for the majority of our people, and a new forward-looking vision that seeks to uplift every Ghanaian,” he stressed.
Dr. Kriese, known for her analytical skills and commitment to financial reform, expressed her excitement at joining Bediako on the campaign trail. She emphasized that The New Force represents more than just campaign mission. “The New Force offers a path to prosperity not through promises alone but through real action, accountability, and innovation. I’m deeply committed to working alongside our Presidential candidate, Nana Kwame Bediako, to deliver on our vision,” she said.
Dr. Kriese’s selection is seen as a strategic move aimed at winning over voters who prioritize economic reforms and financial transparency. Her experience at the Securities and Exchange Commission, combined with her academic background, positions her as an expert in fiscal policy and governance, two critical areas in need of reform in Ghana.
The New Force has framed this election as a choice between maintaining the status quo or embracing change that could lead to prosperity for all Ghanaians. By selecting Dr. Kriese, the party aims to solidify its reputation as a forward-thinking and innovative movement that is unafraid to challenge the old systems.
With less than a year until the election, the political landscape in Ghana is becoming increasingly competitive, but The New Force remains confident that their new leadership duo will resonate with the public. Voters are expected to closely watch the unfolding campaign to see if the fresh approach offered by The New Force can indeed deliver on its promises of reform and accountability.
