Shatta Wale launches an initiative project for up-and-coming musicians.
Dancehall artist Shatta Wale, also known as Charles Nii Armah Mensah, has introduced a new program aimed at uncovering and nurturing aspiring musical talents in the country. Named the Accra Invasion Project (AIP), this initiative is designed to identify and support up-and-coming artists in the Greater Accra region and enhance their artistic skills.
The ‘Killa Ji Me’ singer announced the project on his official Facebook page, encouraging Ghanaians to rally behind it and assist in promoting local talent. In a post dated September 16, he declared, “The Accra Invasion project (AIP). Today, my team and I have resolved to discover talents in the capital, Greater Accra. I encourage everyone to prepare to support their local artists if their names are featured in this project. Together, we can make a significant impact.”
With hashtags such as #AIP, #SM, and #ShattaAndFansAlbum, the Accra Invasion Project aims to open doors for emerging talents, giving them a platform to showcase their potential on a larger scale. Shatta Wale’s endeavor promises to inject fresh energy into the Ghanaian music industry as fans eagerly anticipate the rise of the next shining stars.
On September 13, Shatta Wale generously offered to assist a fan with special needs by contributing GHC20,000 towards his medical care. This gesture came after Berla Mundi’s interview with the fan, Samuel Akonnor, on TV3’s The Day Show.
Samuel, who suffers from cervical dystonia; neurological condition that affects the brain and nerves and causes involuntary movements in the neck, expressed his longstanding wish to meet his favorite artist, Shatta Wale, during the interview broadcasted on Sunday, September 8. Following the circulation of a brief video clip from the interview where Berla passionately appealed to the Dancehall star, Wale pledged to support Samuel with his medical expenses and expressed his eagerness to meet the devoted fan.
“Bella Mundi because of this humble boy I am coming for an interview and also support the boy with 20kghc ..Let’s do this interview Asap,” Shatta Wale responded to the video on X.
