Richard Mofe-Damijo Urges Basketmouth to Seek Guidance from the filmmaking Industry giants.

Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) has advised comedian-turned-filmmaker Basketmouth to seek counsel from professionals in the film industry as he prepares to release his debut movie, “A Ghetto Love Story.”

In a video on Instagram, RMD congratulated Basketmouth on his bold move, emphasizing that filmmaking requires more than raw talent. He stressed the importance of employing the expertise of established professionals in the field alongside filmmaking skills.

RMD recommended collaborating with recognized filmmakers, including Funke Akindele, Mo Abudu, AY Makun, and Kunle Afolayan, as industry giants worth seeking out. He said: “Congratulations on your new film ‘A Ghetto Love Story’. I say make I call you, hail you first and then give you advice. You know you are entering a place where people have already established. Hold ground.”

“When you enter, go find people wey hold ground. People wey dey control the whole area. All of them like Funke Akindele, Mo Abudu, AY, Kunle Afolayan and other people wey dey do film well. Wey be oga. Call them.”

“Tell them you want to know one or two things. Comedy with Buchi fit work, but that na after you don pay respect to people wey hold ground.”
