Argument amongst friends and family is quite normal and nothing to really worry about. But it becomes an issue when one decides to go the extra mile in the process.
Sad news hits , as a final year student of O’Reilly Senior High School is brutally stabbed to death by his colleague in a seemingly simple boys banter.
For the narratives of other students, the two boys have been arguing about who is the richest amongst them and who has a wealthier background.
An argument which was supposed to end on a simple note , took a different turn as the accused Godwin took matters into his own hands and ended the life of his friend Edward Borketey Sackey.
In an interview with the deceased sister, she claims that the accused Godwin , who is a Visual Arts Student confronted her leaving a stern worrying for her brother.
In her statement, she says that Godwin promised to make her brother sleep in his own blood if she did not warn his to stop claiming his is wealthier than him. She however dismissed it as an empty treat for her mate.
It was as simple as she took things , as after her brother finished with one of his papers he was confronted by Godwin and brutally stabbed in the process.
Despite all efforts to save him , Edward could not hold on to his life. Godwin , according to the sister of the deceased is a thug boy on campus who carries pocket knives to class as she is in the same class as him.
This raises concerns as parents and members of the community are worried about the safety and discipline of the children in the school.
However, the community and the student body sympathize with the family of the bereaved.
