“I have forgiven him… ” Adane Best on Kuami Eugene’s music copyright violations.

Ghanaian Highlife musician Adane Best, also known as Joseph Amoah, recently expressed his forgiveness towards Kuami Eugene, a fellow artist whom he previously accused of copyright violations. Adane Best recalled the past claims he made in 2018 and 2020, alleging that Kuami Eugene’s songs bore similarities to his original song compositions.

During a recent interview on Asempa Showbiz Review, Adane Best pointed out that “Anybody who knows and understands music very well will know that once you hear a sound or music, you will know that it originates from somewhere. Especially my songs, (he’s sampled) a lot of my songs not only one. I don’t want to mention it on-air. It’s an old issue, and I don’t want to dwell on it, let’s forget it.”

“I have forgiven him. I have wronged others before, so when someone wrongs me, like Kuami Eugene, I let it go,” he added

Acknowledging Kuami Eugene’s undeniable talent and success in the music industry, Adane Best offered words of advice to the young artist. “Kuami Eugene is good, very, very good, and I commend him. But he should keep learning. That’s how it’s done. He doesn’t have to think he knows it all,” Adane Best remarked. Adane Best’s message to Kuami Eugene was clear – success should be accompanied by a willingness to learn and grow continuously.
