Education Ministry launches “Channel MOE” to transform learning in Ghana
The Ministry of Education has officially launched its television station, “Channel MOE,” aimed at advancing education and transforming the nation through quality content delivery.
The station will provide educational materials to students, teachers, parents, and viewers globally, fostering effective learning and disseminating vital information.
Launching the channel, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Minister of Education, expressed his excitement and optimism about the initiative. He emphasized that the platform would enhance teaching and learning while showcasing the progress in Ghana’s education sector.
“We are building one Ghana where the children of the poor and the rich would have the opportunity to study together to develop their future through the attainment of quality education,” he stated.
Dr. Adutwum praised Nana Gyamfi Agyabour, the Chief Executive Officer of CENDLOS, and the staff for their hard work, which peaked in the station’s successful launch. He also acknowledged the contributions of development partners like Plan International, UNICEF, and CAMFED Ghana, who supported the station’s establishment.
The Minister highlighted the station’s role in delivering televised lessons, benefiting students who can tune in to enhance their knowledge. He further expressed satisfaction with the months-long testing phase, which ensured the station’s readiness to serve its audience effectively.
Nana Gyamfi Agyabour, CEO of CENDLOS, applauded the station’s potential to educate and entertain viewers while commending Dr. Adutwum for his visionary leadership.
He emphasized that the launch marked a significant milestone, attributing its success to the collaborative efforts of partners and stakeholders. “This station will go a long way to educate and entertain viewers,” he remarked.
Dr. Adutwum concluded by urging Ghanaians to vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming elections, emphasizing the party’s commitment to advancing education and national development.
