Bawumia inaugurates new Municipal Complex in Volta Region and urges support for the NPP
As part of his campaign tour of the Volta Region, New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has inaugurated a multi-million ultramodern Municipal Assembly Complex in Ho Central. The event drew a large crowd, including chiefs, queen mothers, NPP executives, and party supporters.
During the commissioning ceremony, Dr. Bawumia congratulated the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ho Central, Bosson R.K Divine, for his significant contributions to the municipality’s development. Mr. Divine also doubles as the NPP parliamentary candidate for the area in the upcoming elections. Dr. Bawumia used the occasion to appeal to the constituents to support his bid for the presidency and to vote for Mr. Divine in the December 7 elections to ensure continued development for the region.
Mr. Divine expressed his gratitude and pride in witnessing the completion of the project, which he described as a historic moment for the municipality. “This moment marks a significant milestone in the development of our beloved municipality, as it provides a fitting home for the administration that will drive our collective progress for many years to come,” he stated.
He further highlighted the importance of the NPP’s role in the region’s progress, noting that both the municipality’s establishment and the construction of the new office complex occurred under NPP governments. He reflected on the earlier push for municipal status for Ho, achieved under President John Agyekum Kufuor’s NPP administration, and now the completion of the Assembly Complex under President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia.
“These two episodes I have mentioned cannot be mere coincidence! It just goes to show the government that truly cares about the affairs of the municipality, and who should be entrusted with the management of the affairs of this country,” he added.
Mr. Divine also extended his appreciation to the NPP leadership and supporters at the national, regional, and constituency levels, expressing particular gratitude to the Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Yao Archibald Letsa, for his continuous support and guidance. “Daddy, I am most grateful,” he said, acknowledging the Minister’s fatherly advice.
The event underscores the NPP’s commitment to infrastructure development in the Volta Region as part of its broader national agenda.
