Ghanaian musician Darkovibes has revealed that he has been arrested multiple times by the police due to his known use of marijuana. The artist shared his experiences during an interview with Giovani Caleb on Showbiz 360, explaining that he is frequently stopped and searched by authorities who suspect him of carrying weed.
Despite these repeated encounters, Darkovibes emphasized that he maintains a positive relationship with many police officers. “They [police] worry me but Police is your best friend. I have a very good relationship with a lot of police guys. They have arrested me countless times because sometimes I get carried away,” he said.
The musician recounted incidents where, after shows or studio sessions, he has been subjected to lengthy searches by police officers. “Sometimes not just after a show, from studio session they can search me for four hours,” Darkovibes added, highlighting the intensity of these situations.
In addition to discussing his encounters with law enforcement, Darkovibes took the opportunity to advise his fans, especially the youth, on responsible behavior. He acknowledged that while people have their vices, it’s important to be mindful of their actions and how they affect society.
“Anything we do, we advise every young person, every adult, every child to do it responsibly. Because in the end, you have a role to fulfill in society, in your community. We all have our vices that are not the best. I know for a fact that I’m not perfect. But we all do things responsibly,” he said.
Darkovibes’ message encourages self-awareness and responsibility, urging his fans to reflect on the broader impact of their actions while admitting that no one is without flaws.
