Dr. Louisa Satekla supports injured Stonebwoy fan
Louisa Satekla, wife of Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy, has made a heartfelt donation to a fan named Samiru Laryea, popularly known as Bhim Bwoy, after his hand was amputated due to a motor accident. On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, upon learning of the incident, Dr. Louisa visited Samiru at the Surgical and Plastic Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to offer support.
Speaking with Joy FM’s entertainment journalist, Kwame Dadzie, Dr. Louisa explained the reason behind her gesture. “He’s a fan who had an accident on Thursday while going about his day, which led to the amputation. We just supported him because he is a big fan,” she said.
Dr. Louisa and her team donated a sum of money to cover Samiru’s medical expenses and also brought along packs of water, drinks, and toiletries. She added that the donation was done through the Livingstone Foundation, an initiative created by her husband, Stonebwoy, which provides support to the underprivileged.
Although Stonebwoy was not present during the visit, he spoke with Samiru on the phone, encouraging him and promising to visit soon. The foundation’s generosity has been well-received in the past, with numerous charitable acts benefiting individuals and communities in need.
Samiru, who works as a loctician or a males’ hairstylist, had parked his motorbike at Korle Gorno to relieve himself when another bike struck him, resulting in a tragic accident. His story has touched many, and Stonebwoy’s family stepped in to assist in his recovery.
