Dr. Bawumia sets to launch a Credit Scoring System come October 2024.

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is gearing up to launch a groundbreaking Credit Scoring System come October 2024. This pivotal initiative, which stands as a cornerstone of his campaign promises, is designed to change the way Ghanaians engage in credit transactions, allowing for convenient installment payments for purchases.

Dr. Bawumia envisions a significant shift from the current cash-centered economy to one that embraces credit, particularly benefiting small enterprises and budding entrepreneurs across the nation. Emphasizing on the impact of this system, he foresees a rise in economic development, job opportunities, and improved credit accessibility for individuals and businesses alike.

During a recent campaign rally in Assin Fosu where Dr. Bawumia passionately explained how this innovative credit system is set to speed up economic growth by providing a more inclusive financial view, he noted, “This system will open up new opportunities for individuals and small businesses to access credit, which in turn will drive economic growth and job creation.”

Moreover, the Paramount chief of Afutuakwa Traditional Area, Okumanin Baffour Asare Kyeahene II, took the opportunity to raise a pressing community concern to Dr. Bawumia. He earnestly appealed for urgent measures to address the deplorable state of roads in the Assin Central Constituency, a critical issue affecting the daily lives of residents.

The chief’s plea serves as a reminder of the interconnected nature of infrastructural development and socio-economic progress, highlighting the importance of addressing fundamental needs alongside ambitious initiatives like the Credit Scoring System.
