Ewurama Dua Anto pays an emotional tribute to late husband, KODA at his burial service.
Ewurama Dua Anto, wife of the late renowned gospel singer KODA, has paid a heartfelt tribute to her husband during his burial service. KODA, who passed away in April this year, was laid to rest on Friday, September 20, in a solemn ceremony attended by family, friends, and colleagues.
The burial service took place at the Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) in Spintex, where several prominent gospel musicians, including Joe Mettle, Nacee, Elder Mireku, Sonnie Badu, and Diana Hamilton, gathered to honor and bid farewell to their beloved brother in Christ.
During her tribute, Ewurama Dua Anto reflected on her cherished memories with KODA, acknowledging his deep love and care for their children. She expressed gratitude for their shared journey, saying, “I will always bless the day I met you. We shared happy and sad moments together which led to a long-lasting bond between us that words cannot express.”
Her tribute continued as she praised her late husband for being an exemplary husband and father. “You were the best of husbands any wife could pray for and the best of father any child could pray for. You were a good man sweety, I am forever grateful to God that I found you,” she said with emotion.
Ewurama further shared her confidence in KODA’s unwavering service to God and his dedication to winning souls for Christ. She believed that even in death, KODA’s legacy would continue to draw people closer to God. “As believers, we rejoice in the fact that you are still alive in heaven. Praise be to Jesus who died to give us eternal life knowing that one day we will all live again. Till we meet again sweety, we will miss you,” she added.
In closing, Ewurama expressed hope for a future reunion, saying, “But I am consoled that one day we shall see that walk, talk and smile of yours again. Rest in perfect peace, my love.”
Kofi Owusu Dua Anto, affectionately known as KODA, passed away on Sunday, April 24, at the age of 45. He is survived by his wife and two children.
